A plain-language summary of how Tiny Spoonful works and how we handle your data.

What Tiny Spoonful is

Tiny Spoonful is a free guide to starting your baby on solid foods. It is for information and education only. It is not a medical service, and it cannot diagnose, treat, or examine your child.

Not medical advice

Nothing here is medical advice, and it does not replace your own paediatrician. Your doctor knows your baby best. Please check with them before starting any new food, and always in case of an allergy, a reaction, or any worry.

Where our information comes from

Every page is checked and approved, line by line, by Anu (a parent, not a doctor), and based on public guidelines from IAP, ICMR-NIN, WHO and AAP, along with everyday Indian kitchen practice checked against them. We try hard to keep it accurate and up to date, but we cannot promise it is complete or error-free, and guidelines do change.

Using the site

You use Tiny Spoonful at your own discretion. Decisions about your child's food are yours, together with your paediatrician.

Our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, Tiny Spoonful and its creator are not liable for any loss, injury, or harm that comes from using this site or relying on its content.

What we collect

Right now, very little. We don't run ads, we don't follow you around the internet, and you don't need to sign in. If you choose to write to us, we will have your email address or WhatsApp number, only because you sent it to us. We use a privacy-focused counter (Umami) to see which pages are read and which food searches find nothing (the search words only, never tied to you). It sets no cookies and builds no profile of you. Like every website you visit, the counting service briefly receives standard connection details from your browser to do its job; it does not use them to identify or follow you. If we ever add a waitlist or anything more, we will update this page first and tell you exactly what we collect.

How we use it

Only to reply to you, and to run and improve Tiny Spoonful. We do not sell your data, and we do not run ads. If you have written to us, we keep your message only as long as we need it, and we will delete it whenever you ask.

Children's data

Tiny Spoonful is made for parents, not for children. We do not knowingly collect any personal information about children.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to see, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you, or to withdraw your consent. Just write to us.

Cookies and tracking

We don't use cookies at all, not for tracking and not for advertising. Our page-view counter is cookie-free and builds no profile of you, which is why you don't see a cookie banner here. If we ever add anything that uses cookies, we'll update this page first.

Changes

We may update this page from time to time. The latest version will always be here, and continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
